DURHAM, N.C. — While there is no shortage of comic book heroes at the box office, a young Durham entrepreneur has released her own comic with an empowering message.

Aza Entertainment has developed a program that will give back to public schools and charitable organizations. “Education is the foundation of our future. It doesn’t make any sense that there are schools struggling due to lack of funding,” says CEO and founder of Aza Entertainment, Jazmin Truesdale.
Aza Comics releases The Keepers: Origins, the first digital novel about its new universe of female superheroes. “It’s very exciting,” says CEO, Jazmin Truesdale. “I really want to get more women into this genre. That’s why I created the book the way that I did.”
